Yes! Well, software is never done but On November 20, 2019, we sent an email called “Grade Level Communications - 8th Grade: Helper Bees!” to parents of 8th graders at Florida Ruffin Ridley to encourage their 8th graders to volunteer. We also encouraged these parents to hire Helper Bees by donating through the site (other neighbors are welcome to donate as well). We are testing to see if and how parents and kids will respond to Helper Bees!
8th grade student volunteers from Florida Ruffin Ridley in Brookline, Massachusetts list the jobs they will do. Neighbors seeking help choose a job offered by a student. They donate $10. Students and their parents will work with them to get the job done.
Your $10 donation will go toward the Florida Ruffin Ridley 8th grade PTO. The money raised will go toward 8th grade activities like the school play or a Thompson Island trip.
Students are volunteering their time.
If you have a specific job in mind, the following steps are recommended:
Yes, you must be an 8th grader at Florida Ruffin Ridley in Brookline, Massachusetts to be a Helper Bee.
Yes! We need artists to create artwork for this website. Our logo was designed by a 5th grader using Piskel who also created the bee below.

Parents should email ccs.helperbees@gmail.com to ask how their child can help.
